Bailey
Creeks' unique alpine course is the only 18-hole USGA golf course in the Lake
Almanor area. Designed by noted architect Homer Flint, the course has memorable
and challenging holes that blend harmoniously with the environment and provide
beautiful vistas for Bailey Creek property owners.
With
over 1,000 miles of streams and rivers and more than 100 crystal clear lakes,
this region provides non-stop recreational opportunities. Lake Almanor is the
countys biggest lake at 4,500 foot elevation, with 52 miles of shoreline
and gorgeous views of Mount Lassen. This is where the Sierra Nevada Mountains
meet the Cascades and form a four-season recreation paradise as well as the northern
gateway to Lassen National Park and Forests.
In
the summer time water sports abound: boating, swimming, camping, water skiing,
jet skiing and of course fishing. Some of the fish available include salmon, bass,
Rainbow and German Brown trout. Theres also hunting, hiking, mountain and
dirt bike trails, and horseback riding. In
the winter, theres fishing, hunting, cross-country and downhill skiing,
snowboarding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and dog sled races.
